DYWIDAG-Systems Internacional (DSI) vende sus acciones de la empresa DSI-Gonar

DYWIDAG-Systems International GmbH sold shares of DSI-Gonar

DSI decided to sell its minority shareholding in DSI-Gonar to the other shareholders. The decision was due to DSI's strategic target to offer its customers a complete product range for the construction of tunnels and underground mines. The concentration of DSI-Gonar on the production of hollow bars and accessories only did not meet this. Moreover it is DSI's policy to be a major shareholder.

The limited product range of DSI-Gonar had no potential for extensive growth which would have been necessary to meet the growth strategy of the DSI-Group. An extension of DSI-Gonar to further products did not meet DSI´s strategic developments. The sale of DSI-Gonar was also a result of changes in DSI's supply plans with alternative sources of hollow bar becoming available.

Following the sale of the shares on 18th August 2006 the company DSI-Gonar was renamed into GONAR Systems International So. Z o. o.. There is no further relationship between DSI and Gonar any longer.

DSI recently acquired a leading manufacturer of products and systems for the tunnelling and mining industry with a diversified and highly sophisticated product range - ALWAG.
